NoBorders organises several youth exchanges across the year as it believes in their learning power Throughout these experiences, the participants learn how to discover themselves and the world

These experiences facilitate and encourage cultural exchange between young people, learning a foreign language and breaking down cultural and social barriers.

Upon completion of the exchange, each participant is entitled to receive a “Youthpass” certificate, which describes and validates the non-formal and informal learning experience and outcomes acquired during the project.

HOW YOUTH EXCHANGES WORK

WHERE AND WHEN?

HOW YOUTH EXCHANGES WORK? HOW LONG AND WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

These are intercultural exchanges lasting between 6 and 10 days, aimed at young people aged between 13 and 30 from different European countries. The aim of these projects is to foster the sharing of knowledge, thoughts, ideas and initiatives between people from different cultural backgrounds and nationalities.

WHAT'S THE PURPOSE?

WHAT'S THE PURPOSE OF YOUTH EXCHANGES? HOW DO THEY WORK?

Each exchange focuses on a particular theme, such as civic education, European practices, the environment and eco-sustainability. These topics are addressed by means of workshops, exercises, role-playing games and artistic and creative workshops, following the principle of non-formal education.

Through confrontation with other peers of different nationalities, participants thus have the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills, growing as individuals and increasing their involvement in their community. It is also a good way to learn and develop your English.

PARTICIPATION COSTS

DO YOU HAVE TO PAY? HOW DOES IT WORK?

Like the other Erasmus+ projects, the international exchanges are funded by the European Commission, which covers the costs of board and lodging and makes available a budget that varies according to kilometre bands for reimbursement of travel costs. The only cost to be borne is the membership fee.
